Gardens and Gladiators

An update on our garden...

This week we picked a bunch more radishes.  The grapes are really getting big.

Check out the grapes

Also, this week I went down to the field and planted pumpkin seeds and squash.  The strawberries are really coming out of the flowers and you can see the seeds too.

Future strawberries!!!

I think these are cherry tomato plants, but mom isn't so sure
Finally our peppers are sprouting!!!!

There are my peas...a little out of control

Aunt Bear says this is a weed, but it's NOT, it's CORN!!
We have soooo much lettuce now

I DO eat salad now
We picked lettuce for the first time this week and made a salad out of it.  We had radishes and lettuce and cheese and mom and nan had olives on theirs too.  It was SO good!  When LaLa is here she makes us a salad every night, so I can't wait for her to come back so she can use the vegetables from my garden.

Aunt Amy asked to see what we were doing with our vegetables....here you go!

This week I also went on a field trip. We went to this cool museum called Archeon in The Netherlands that is outside and the weather was beautiful but during the gladiator show it was so hot that it was brutal.  They had a prehistoric section and middle ages and roman times and there were all things you could touch, walk through or make that had come from archaeological discoveries.

Mom was a chaperon but I wasn't in her group. Mrs. Howcroft said the kids couldn't be with there parents because the moms wouldn't pay a lot of attention to the other kids.   Mom and I don't believe that's true.  Mom's group had the most fun and her kids were the happiest and I wished I was with them.

There are a ton of places like this to explore

We each got to try archery
At the end of the field trip we went to see the gladiator show. Our tour guide told us that this ✋ means to live and this👉 means to die.

You vote on if they die if 1: they get injured badly, or 2: run away.

On the way back the air-condition wasn't working and it was so hot. Mean while the bus driver was the only one that could have the window open and he didn't care.  We all wanted to vote on his fate;-)

Yesterday, we went to Brugge for the first time.  Nan and I didn't dress very smartly because we had on shorts and a short sleeve shirt, but luckily mom always makes me take a jacket or sweatshirt.  We were both still cold though.  I haven't found mint chocolate chip ice cream here in Belgium yet, but they had a flavor called After Eight which I still don't get (Mom says it's from a candy or something) and it at least had chocolate swirls in mint ice-cream.   We had chi-chi's for dinner, which is kind of silly to have that when we're here in Belgium and there are a hundred restaurants to choose from.
