Summer in NJ

This summer I got to spend 6 weeks in New Jersey.  I went to Princeton and slept over there for 3 days for basketball camp.  I thought basketball camp was really fun but it was tiring because we got up at 7, walked all the way to one side of the campus for breakfast and then walked to the basketball gym which was all the way on the other side of the campus.  We were tired before we eeven started playing.  We played all day, then had dinner and went back and played until 10pm at night. I was happy that I had a dorm room all to myself.  It was like being in college, but I didn't have to study.  My mom came to visit me almost every day and Aunt Bear called her a "helicopter mom" which was very funny.

I also had soccer camp at the BSC for half a day one week.  It was so hot in NJ I was calling it Africa hot so it was good to have camp inside at BSC.   I also had a basketball coach for around a week and a half on week days. His name was Ryan and he taught me how to shoot basketball properly with one hand.  When we were done I was able to make 11 free throws shooting the right way and Mom gave me a dollar for every shot and we went to the arcade and played there and won a ton of tickets. 

Mom got me a soccer coach and she came and gave me lessons. Her name was Amy, she was from the UK and talked with a cool accent. She brought another coach with her, Coach Emily and we had a lot of fun doing drills.  She taught me how to do tricks, to shoot the right way and passing.   Check us out!!!

One of the best parts was going to the water park with my cousins Timmy and Chris and I learned how to belly board on one of those mechanical things.  We did a really high ropes course and all of us were able to go to the top. We slept there with Uncle Mark, Aunt suzy and pops and mary jean.   I want to go back there because I always have a lot of fun with my cousins.

I also got to see some of my best friends while I was in NJ. I went to Kelly's house and swam and she came to my mom's work's family night and we had so much fun singing karaoke and wearing crazy dress up stuff and bowling and laser tag. I got to see my friend Will there too. We were the last ones to leave because it was so fun.

I got to see my friend Chelsea and we went to this awesome game for Aunt Amy's team at Yankee stadium.












Then another time we went with Mom's work trip to Yankee Stadium and Aunt Amy got us the whole big club where they had food and we had the best seats in the whole place.  She came to visit us while we were there but she was working so she couldn't hang out too long but she did tell the people to make sure they took good care of us and they listened to her. It was for NYCFC and they won and everyone said it was the best time ever. Timmy and Chris came with us and Sunshine Mary and we had fun on the bus playing games there and back.   Sunshine Mary took care of everything and when she does then it always all works out great.

We all wanted to go back again sometime but now Aunt Amy works for the Red Bulls so the NYCFC isn't her team anymore. Mom said she's going to have to buy me a new soccer jersey.

One of the best things about being in NJ was seeing my Pops. I got to see him all the time and sleep over his house with my cousins and even go to the pool where he has his exercise class and swim two times.  He made me pumpkin bread and cookies and cranberry chicken that my mom thinks is for her, but it's for me.   And I spent a lot of time with my cousins Timmy and Chris and JJ and Uncle Mark and Aunt Suzy.

We celebrated my birthday at Medieval Times and our knight stunk.  But we had fun even though he got killed early.  JJ and I were knighted too and we had to eat with our hands like the knights really did.  I also got to meet another one of my donor brothers, Alexander.  He and my other brother, Jacky, who live in NJ both were able to come to my birthday party and Alyssa and Morgan too.  And of course, my Nan and LaLa were there too!!  And LaLa didn't even get lost.

The other best thing was seeing my Aunt Bear. She skipped work a bunch to be with me like two times a week and we just hung out and hiked and we also went canoeing.   And I did the treadmill while she road her bike and did her training.

Mom says she doesn't think Aunt Bear really works she just rides her bike all day while everyone else is at work.  I think she does work but she just doesn't pick work over me.


I also got to see Lauren and Chester and we always have fun taking him with us hiking in the park.   Don't ask me about how he feels about horse poop...lol

Aunt Bear is so much fun because she doesn't ever say we can"t do something. With her the answer is always yes.  Even sometimes when mom says no, Aunt Bear says yes. I bet other kids wish they had an Aunt Bear. 

Then we went back home to Belgium but Nan stayed with Lala and didn't come back right away.  It was strange to be in Belgium without her. We got to see our puppies when we got back before we had to leave for language camp.  I missed them a lot and I could tell they missed me.   They got to swim at the place that they stayed over the summer and Beau liked it but Baci didn't.  But it was so hot here in Belgium some days that it felt good for them to get in there and get wet.

Luxembourg Has Luck

Yesterday I had a soccer game against Luxembourg. They were really good and we lost 5-0. After the game we got to bring two people home to our "house". The two kids I got were named Will and Fred. When we got home we played soccer in my backyard and played tackle on the trampoline. I also showed them how to fly the new drone that I got from my Uncle Sal and it almost got stuck in the trees twice but it fell down and it is not broken. We also roasted marshmallows and it was Fred's first time having s'mores and he thought they were delicious.

  Today for breakfast we had eggs and bacon. We then went to the field and we were the first ones so we had to wait awhile until the U14 [under 14] coach came with the balls.

We didn't  have much luck and we lost 7-0.  But it was great to make 2 new friends and I can't wait to see them again at the NECIS tournament where we play for 3 days and stay in a hotel.  I'm also looking forward to when I will go and stay at someone else's house, I think in Bahn.

 Our dogs are a little sick so I hope they don't turn out like this guy.
