On Valentine's Day me, Nan, LaLa and Mom (and Furry...I'll tell you about him later) went on the train to London and they served cheese, salad and a cupcake with a heart on it. I also ordered hot milk and tried to make hot chocolate but it didn't go as I planned. Me, mom and LaLa read the whole time on the train, but Nan wanted to watch TV on her ipad but Mom couldn't get it to work. That doesn't make either one of them happy when that happens.
The first two days, we had fun with our tour guide, Charlie, because he knew all the short cuts and where to stand to get to see everything. We went to see the Changing of the Guards and also the Changing of the Horse Guards too.
Here we are standing on this street where they have all books hanging from strings outside in the middle. In New York if they did this someone would steal all the books. LaLa almost forgot to get Furry in the picture...he's the little blue guy in case you didnt know.

Here's an awesome video that Nan took of the changing of the guard ceremony. Yes, she even stood still long enough and didn't talk the whole time. LOL Check out the one guard that comes running around the side, maybe he forgot something back at the barracks.
Here's one of the guards on horse. And the line of them below are the ones that are coming off duty. Here we are standing on this street where they have all books hanging from strings outside in the middle. We went to see the Tower Bridge and it's just like the one that Mom and I built at home, but bigger.
The Tower Bridge is by the Tower of London which is like a big old fort. Charlie showed us the Traiters Gate which is where they took the people who were in prison in and out of the fort by boat. It didnt sound like much fun to me because once they were guilty, then they were hung. And they cut them open and their guts came out before actually killing them...sounds gross.
Inside the Tower of London they have the Royal Jewels and man, do they have a lot of them. They looked really heavy, I think that's why the Queen is shrinking from having to wear those heavy crowns on her head. Here we are with one of the guards who is there to show people around.
We also got to see Princess Diana's memorial. I'm not too sure about what happened with her, but the Queen must not have liked her too much because she only got this cool water way thing and on the other side of the same park there is a memorial to another Queen's husband and the thing is HUGE...like 10 times bigger than my house even. I liked the water way because it had an interesting way of having the water run from the top of the circle down both sides to the bottom and then back up to the top again.
Here's a picture of it and also of one of the cooler designs they made in the water using steps and stones and by squeezing the water. I like to really observe how they do things like this and what the effect is on the water.
Then we had to take a picture in one of those old London phone booths...we didn't pick a very clean one, but we piled in there anyway.
We also went to the London Museum and it was the one they showed in the most recent Night at the Museum movie. How cool is that? And we even saw the lions that came to life in the show outside.
I loved hearing all about the Greek stuff, that's my favorite. Here is the stone that they used to figure out how to read hieroglyphics. I knew all about this and our guide said I could be a guide some day.
We rode on the Hop On / Hop Off Bus around London and here's Furry out with us on one of the rides. I told LaLa he should have a coat on, but they were convinced that his fur would keep him warm. I was afraid the twins would scare him with their fly glasses on. LOL
On Tuesday, we took another train to Bath to visit my newly discovered half brother, Jude. He's 5 years old and he lives in a really fun place. Bath is called that because of the Roman Baths there in his town. We went to a huge playground and had fun climbing and also on the zip line.
| Do you think we look like brothers? I do! |
It was fun to carry him around and what he liked most was when Mom and I each took one arm and swung him high in the air while we were walking. I used to love when Aunt Bear or Nan and mom used to do this for me. Now probably only JJ and Pops could do it for me!
Next thing you know, it was time to go back on the train to London, But the very next day Jude and his mom were coming to see us in London for the day.
While we were all together in London we went on the tour bus and we road on the London Eye with my brother. It was his first time on the London Eye. Afterwards we bought cotton candy in the London Eye store but they call it Candy Floss there in London. Jude's mom, Polly, told us they call it Granny's Hair in Greece. No matter what you call it, it tastes really good and we both ate it all.
I took a picture of the pod that was below us and the kids in there thought that was cool.
Together we also went on a riverboat on the river Thames. This was a picture of Jude looking through the rails of a bridge we had to cross to get to the river boat.
Then we were on the boat with his mom, Polly and mom bought us hot chocolate. Jude spilled his by accident, but the woman gave us another one for free.
Here we are on the Hop On/Hop Off Bus and we were riding on the top outside because even though it was cold that's the best place to sit.
We also went in Westminster Abby and here you can see the Parliament building and Big Ben behind it.
We thought that at the hotel we would be able to swim so i brought a swimsuit but they didn't have a pool. We got club access though and they had really good cookies. We were in room three hundred and ten and you have this special way to put the key in and we didn't get it the first hundred times.

We also went to see 2 shows while we were in London, one was called Railway Children and the other was called Matilda. Mom and I thought we were an hour early to Matilda, but we were reading our watch wrong (guess who? hint, I dont wear a watch) and missed the first little bit. We had to walk across half the row to get to our seats and we were stepping on people and saying excuse me and stumbling and all. But once we got in our seats the show was really good and very funny. Sometimes it was hard to understand some of the actors because of their accents, but it was a lot easier than trying to understand Dutch.
My aunt brought over Furry for my cousin Shay's project for school. Furry ate some of my cotton candy and got a sugar rush. While he was in a sugar rush he made me take a picture of him on the bathtub about to take a shower. Lucky for him, I don't have the picture because it's on LaLa's phone.

I'm glad you had a good time with Jude! Thanks for sharing this trip. I have never been to London. I liked reading about Princess Diana ' s memorial. I think she was a wonderful person. Love Kimberly
